The Museum Mathurin Méheut

Breton painter, born in 1882 in Lamballe, who died in Paris in 1958.

A museum is devoted to his hometown of Lamballe, on the Place du Martray, in a timber of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries ... Mathurin Méheut The museum, managed by the association Friends of Mathurin Méheut and inaugurated in 1972 after the generous donation of Maryvonne Méheut who offered the money workshop of his father. The collections contain thousands of paintings and sketches, drawn and painted on the ground that served as documentation throughout the career of designer and illustrator that was Méheut. In addition, some of his ceramics and illustrated books.
